Chris Sparks Cert Ed, BA (hons) Ed, techIOSH
Lead Consultant and owner of Seajay Training.

12 years Military experience and 25 years Police Experience. 30 years training experience and more recently working as a Health and Safety Consultant to a variety of Industries. He has taught subjects as varied as use of force and self defence, conflict management, physical intervention, equality and diversity awareness, first aid, AED and CPR, confined space entry, safe moving and handling, covert source management and static line parachuting. In his spare time he is an ABA boxing coach and a keen mountain biker, and skydiver.
With countless experiences in locations from the deserts of the Middle East, to the jungles of the Far East, from the Atlas Mountains to the French Alps or from the streets of London to the streets of Brighton, his training style is always experience based, with plenty of hands on scenarios.

He holds the Nebosh General Certificate in Health and Safety and the Nebosh Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, and is working towards the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. He is Tech Iosh affiliated, and has experience in Occupational Health and Safety Consultancy to Industries as diverse as Construction, Deconstruction, Retail, Light Industry, manufacturing and Financial services.

Matt joined the team in May 2014 from Middlesex University, School of Nursing & Midwifery, as a clinical lead for Moving and Handling.
He brings to the role more than 17 years of Pre Hospital Trauma & Teaching experience in variety of settings from the military, fire service & Various Roles within the NHS trusts.  He has a particular interest in teaching, mentoring & simulation, and is always keen to explore new ways of how to deliver teaching sessions. Matt is also employed part time by Surrey Fire & Rescue Service as a Moving & Handling Advisor/Instructor & Pre Hospital Trauma Instructor.
